Verse 40- O Race of Israel! Recollect My those favours which I bestowed upon you as prize and reward. That is to say upon your past forefathers of whom you are the descendants. And be true to My Word to which you agreed to fulfil then I will fulfil My agreed word with you and be afraid of Me. *
* THE NARRATIVE: Israel was the title of Jacob, a person of dignity, had twelve sons. They are known as Children of Israel, so they were twelve sects. And favour and reward done to them are that the whole race of Children of Israel were servant and obedient dependent of Pharaoh and his people, God as Almighty brought into being Moses, a dignified person, God’s blessings be on him, from the Children of Israel and because of him drowned Pharaoh along with his army in waters and made Children of Israel master and ruler over there, at that time the Torah bestowed upon Moses, a person of dignity, God’s blessings be on him. In it was promised that if you would abide by the Torah commandments firmly and if you would accept the religion of and would give companionship to the prophet whom I would send then dominion of Syria too would had been remained in your possession; the Children of Israel had accepted that word at that time but afterwards they did not stick to the word. Then they lost their way that is to say they became ill-intentioned. They took bribe and told false percept on behalf of the prophet and hid right word for flattery purpose and wished their own rule and did not obey the prophet and killed many prophets and reversed those verses of the Torah which praised Muhammad, a person of dignity, May mercy and blessings of God be upon him and his followers. Thus God as Almighty commands Israelites to recollect those favours and to stick to the mutual agreement.
