Verse 48- And fear the torment of that day, the day on which no one will be of any little use for anyone and obtaining of pardon in favour of any disbeliever by any disbeliever will not be approved. That is to say that obtaining pardon by any disbeliever for another disbeliever will not be accepted. And nothing will be accepted in exchange for misfortune ready for some disbeliever. That is to say that if the disbeliever wishes to be acquitted of the torment by giving something in that case it will never be done. And the disbeliever will not be helped. That is to say that neither no one will nor no one could accompany and support them.
* The Children of Israel used to claim, "They will not be punished for whatever sins they may commit- our forefathers who are prophets will obtain pardon for us". So God The Almighty commands that this is their wrong supposition.
