Verse 57- And recollect the favour while I, The Most Royal One, shaded you by cloudiness because you had suffered from the sunshine. And for you were brought down the Manna that is a kind of gum and the Quail which is the name of an animal which is of the size of a partridge. And I, The Most Royal One, commanded,"Eat", the Manna and the Quail, "neat and clean which I, The Most Royal One, provided you with"; which was sent down from the unknown. Eat and do not store it for the following day, then they did not obey; commenced storing for the following day; did not trust The Almighty One; established disobedience. When it was stored then it stunk. They wronged not Me, The Highest Royalty, but they did wrong themselves. The stored Manna and Quail rotted and stunk. The Almighty One became unhappy.*
* It is narrated that in that forest when the tents of Israelites had been broken up then shade of a cloud came into existence and when the grain finished then at night accumulations of a kind of gum were accumulated around the encampment and countless animals came to be idle around the encampment in the evening. The folk of the encampment grabbed them for food, because their meat was very tasty. Years passed similarly.
